THE NIPPON FOUNDATION
Nomoko has introduced her warm and organic animation into the “Disaster-Resistant Japan” Campaign through TV commercial and Website. Her work raised awareness for the importance of disaster preparedness in Kobe and Noto area, where past major earthquakes in Japan have occurred. The campaign also includes a call for volunteers in the Noto area, where volunteer activities are still needed.





Nomoco is a Japanese illustrator who works delicately with ink flow to achieve beautiful, charming and colourful artwork.
She was born in Fukuoka, Japan and graduated from Osaka University of Arts, London College of Communication and Central Saint Martins College in Art & Design. Nomoco has exhibited her work in globally in solo and group shows.
She has won multiple awards for her Illustration work, including the UKLA Book Award for Once Upon A Raindrop, and the World Illustration Awards. Clients include: Harper Collins, Stacy’s Pita Chips, Reader’s Digest, Audi, DK, The Guardian, Financial Times, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Atria Books, New York Times, Red Magazine, NSPCC, Penguin Books, Taschen, Volvo, and Folio Society.
